Anyone up for the Midnight Drags this weekend at the Tulsa Raceway Park?
I think it starts at 10pm, not sure how long it lasts as I've never done it before. Hopefully the weather will cooperate.

I would like to go but can't this weekend, maybe next month or so?
Plan it on a Hallett weekend maybe?

I think they do it every week during the summer, at least I think they do. Their schedule seems to be more of a guideline than a rule with the weather we have around here.
I may go out this weekend just to hang out and see what's up, not sure I'll drive the car, I already know what it can do and no sense getting spanked by a juiced/boosted Honda Civic DX hatchback on 12 inch rims.

Hey Ponyboy, how is your Clutch doing? I wouldn't want you to lose to another M3, especially one driven by Lieb.

I'm pretty sure I'm in for this on Saturday. The line to get in can sometimes be long, so I'm not sure if we'd want to get out there around 9:30 to get in line to sign the waiver or what. If you're going, reply with some ideas for a place to meet up in advance if that's a good idea. I know the Tulsa Street Scene meets at that Quizno's and plans to roll out in a group, but that might be a busy area and I'm not too keen on Memorial. Any ideas?

Clash of the Titans is tomorrow. Midnights probably won't start until 11pm, but I'd still suggest getting in line at 9:30, if not sooner. The line is always gigantic. I went tonight and caught Clash qualifying for TNT cost. There were alot of fast cars. I'm not a big fan of the midnights though. It's always boring for me.

The races were pretty fun last night. We got to see a Mustang with much more power than grip get sideways, change lanes and end up scrubbing the wall. But the real action was a motorbike (Hayaboosa?) that ran a 9.06, soon be to called out and challenged by a Nova that had run earlier. The Nova threw up an 8.93 to best the bike's time, but the heads up action was called off.
There were quite a few Hondas out there (with a combined MPG at the line of 72), along with some other fun cars (4-wheel ATV's anyone)? The bike contingent was huge, with about 30 bikes that I could see.
I also saw 3-4 other Subarus out there. A 2.5 RS with a
Borla
exhaust and headers, as well as a boosted WRX with an FMIC (14.4-ish I think). Pat was out there in his RS (in the 16's, IIRC) and the white 2006 STI that I believe was around 14.2xx for the night. There was an EVO RS out there (dewinged) that threw up a similar number, but I can't remember right off what it was. I didn't run, I felt like enjoying the show for a change and it was worth it.
We finished up around 3:30 AM at a temperature of 68 degrees (sure felt cooler though due to that South wind).

Unless Pat was broke he had to run faster than 16's. I ran him in the Volvo and we were both under 15.5.

Best ever in my car is a 15.1 It's all about getting off the line with my car or else I kill my time. I only saw one of my time which was a 15.5. The others they didn't have the timers on. The best I think was the video above with me against the Mustang GT but as you can see, not time.
