Sweet. Now hope it stays that way.

I bet the dirt was moved, to make room for ballgame parking........

I'm going to get on my soap box on this one because I'm a little frustrated
at the lack of information available about this event on the web.

This is the content in my reply #11 dated 4-10 on this FORUM...

-----
"I was looking at the NEOKLA web site and do not see this event
posted there and a pre-reg form is not available. I also do not see
a posting in the FORUM's under AUTOCROSS."
-----

I repost this because I'm wondering why this event is not being
promoted. The following is the content of a post, to me, on
another web FORUM after I listed this event.

"My son wants to know if this is a SCCA event? he couldnt find
anything on their website about it. How do u get registered for it? Thx!"

Not only is it not listed on the SCCA web site, but it is still not listed
on the NEOkla site. If you expect to have a really good turn out and
get folks interested, someone needs to get busy and promote
these events.

Also the link on the NEOkla site for the SOLO II Entry is really flakey at best. One time it took me
to http://www.myautoevents.com then it took me to http://www.neoklascca.org/soloforms.htm
"PAGE NOT FOUND" and the third time it took me back to http://www.myautoevents.com
I emailed the web master about the problem.

Adam and Paul are the new Solo Co-Chairmen and this is their first year in this position.  Please give them a chance to get things rolling as there has only been 2 events this year and they are still trying to get everything taken care of.  This is a COMPLETELY volunteer position.  They get NO pay for what they do, and they do a LOT and have to put up with a LOT.

Lots of work, little thanks.

As for the website, as stated before, a new person has taken over the website and it has yet to be updated.  I am sure this is in the process of being handled.

Harping them about incorrect links on the website is not helping the matter.  They are already aware that the website is not up to date and this was mentioned at the meeting.  The correct links for registration have been provided in this thread and until the NEOKLA website can be updated, you can easily provide this information to those people asking you about the event.

Working together is more beneficial than pointing out flaws that have been mentioned before.  Trust me, we all want our events to be successful but sometimes the changing of the guards slows things down a little bit.

I understand the "NoPay - No Glory" as I also do a lot of volunteer work for several organizations.
I'm not trying to harp just prod, to help make this and future events more successful.

Adam or Paul if you need some help, maybe getting things posted on the web site,
I would be glad to help out. Just send me an email, I will return my phone number
and we can discuss it.

That person never left that job in the first place, fyi. He was there, is there and will probably always be there.  Grin

Looks like the website is working. If you goto Solo/entry. The online registration is up.

BTW, can someone add me in X Class. I did it and it didn't put me in X.

Yep, every registration link I could find on the NEOkla site now correctly points to the registration page. I'm sure a few of them were missed before, since they appear on several different pages.
The schedual is also posted, although this particular event hasn't gotten added. Likely due to the fact that it was a late addition to the schedual. Hopefully, we can add a couple more dates between now and Sept.

As for the 2nd class issue, I think failing to tick the "Run 2nd class" box causes it to only add the base class. I know at least one other person that tried enetering 2 classes, but only show up in one.

No worries, we can easily add you to X class this weekend.

Alright folks, its time to trade out the street tires, pump about a half a tank full of $3+ fuel into your sportscar, wipe those noseprints off your windows, make sure your battery is strapped down securely, remove the loose paraphanelia of your life from the trunk and under the seats, grab your helmet and don't forget your sunscreen cause its CONE DODGING TIME! Looks like we are gonna have a slightly smaller turnout than the last 2 events, but thats OK we may be running a longer course. (knocking on wood) Recent research has unveiled what appears to be a "clear lot". No dirt piles, no people hauling carts, and no trucks. However this could change, but i'm a gas tank half full kinda guy. Hope to see you all out there, we are working on some additional sites for events during the summer (horse racing season) break, but nothing in stone.

I'd love to see the lot stay empty. Considering they have been using it for ballgame parking, I suspect it will.
I will be at the event, in spite of the fact that my cousin's memorial service is being held on the same day.
