On the track again. I just can't wait to get...

« on: March 11, 2009, 08:03:18 PM »

KC BMW club track event at Hallett:  July 10-12, 2009

Best place for info is probably http://www.kcbmwclub.com/ or http://www.kcbmwclub.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=1749

Good crew to run with, and a good choice for a driver education event.

Also, Track Guys (was Ford SVTOA) is running Hallett in September.   From the email, "New for 2009—Track Guys Test Drive.  Have a friend who may not know if this is for him, then the Track Guys Test Drive is for them.  For $40 they get to attend all drivers meetings, participate in the noon parade lap and then get one session on track with an instructor.  Spouses, friends whoever may want to try are welcome."

Did I miss the price for the BMW event? Assuming I get the car done in time and have some spare cash I'd love to do this.

That's the same weekend as Mid Div 3 in Neosho, MO.

Do Hallett on Friday 7/10, then come up to Neosho that evening for tech/registration and run the divisional on 7/11 and 7/12.

Neosho is < 2.5 hours from Hallett, and daylight won't be a problem Friday evening.

I'm one of the people running the divisional, so we can fit you in.

I was under the assumption that it would be setup like the Miatas @ Hallett, where Friday is the tech, meet & greeting, noob meeting, etc. And the track day is Sat (or Sat&Sun in this case).

Friday will likely be for Instructors and the Advanced group only for an additional fee.

Attention Driving Enthusiasts:

The Kansas City and Sunbelt Chapters of BMWCCA are combining efforts again to deliver the next "No Excuses 2" High-Performance Driver's School at Hallett Motor Racing Circuit on July 10-12. Once again we are offering one of the best values in the region for lots of track time, excellent instruction, a fun and challenging course, and our famous cultural enrichment sessions!

Raising the bar another level over our sell-out event last year, we will be featuring a new HPDE classroom presentation
created by the great Ross Bentley. Bentley has combined over 20 seasons of race driving experience and 18 years of race driving instruction to become one of North America's foremost authorities on the art of driving. His series, Speed Secrets, is one of the best selling series of performance driving books of all time.

Can it get any better? Yes it can! World Challenge Pro Racer, and owner of Bimmerworld, James Clay has announced he plans on attending our Driving School!!!

Registration will go LIVE at 9:00 AM CT on May 1st at MotorsportReg.com.

2-day Students receive an incredible early bird value at $259.

Instructors will pay an early bird price of only $119 FOR THREE DAYS! Also, Instructors, you can pack light! Leave your Saturday and Sunday shirts at home!! At registration, we will give you two special "Instructor" shirts for the weekend!!

But wait there's more...our "refer a friend" program rewards you for referring a first-time participant to our school. If your first-time participant friend lists your name on their registration form, you will receive a free event shirt! With these tremendous opportunities to save money, we expect another sell-out event! Be ready for the opening of registration on May 1st, and don't forget to tell your friends!!!

Don't miss this tremendous opportunity to drive the fun and challenging turns at Hallett, receive a high-level of instruction, and have fun with your driving enthusiast friends. Make sure that you sign up before we sell out.

James Clay, Winning World Challenge Racer, owner of Bimmerworld, and one of our DE Sponsors, has move from the “will possibly be there”, to “will probably be there” list!!

Word has it he may take some Students and Instructors for rides……possibly in their cars if they like!!

I have ridden with James “at speed” at VIR.  It was an awesome ride!

DO NOT WAIT.  SIGN UP NOW!!!
