There will be a SCCA and JCNA sanctioned rally Saturday afternoon June 20, 2009 as an added feature of the Jaguar Club's EuroMotor Extravaganza.  Registration will be 10 am to 1 pm at the car show in downtown Sand Springs.  The first car will leave at 2:01pm and the results will be back at the start location at 5 pm.  $15 per car, which will include weekend SCCA membership for anyone not already a member.

The format will be a simple modified Monte Carlo timing through 3 checkpoints.  Very simple, no difficult calculations.  Will count as a regional GTA for SCCA, and TSD for JCNA.

This the substitue for the March 28 NEOKLA SCCA GTA Vintage Spring at Hallett rally that was snowed-out, only better.  Come out and enjoy the EuroMotor Extravaganza and enjoy a short rally.

A flyer with all of the details is attached.  More information on the EuroMotor Extravaganaza is ar eumoex.com.

See you on the rally road June 20.

The results are attached.

We had 5 cars, ranging from a 1962 Austin Healey to a 2007 Saturn Sky.  Everyone found all of the checkpoints in the right order so it was a susscessful rally.  Just wished we would have had more of you there.  We will probably try to do one again next year as a part of the EuroMotor Extravaganza.  Tulsa needs a sporty car get-together like the Jaguar Cub is doing.  Downtown Sand Springs was a great location and lot of interesting cars were in the show.

The rally was a 3 stage Monte Carlo.  Follow NRIs (mumbered route instuctions) and try to get to the checkpoint at a time corresponding to target average speed over the leg based on your own odometer mileage.  One stage was a DIYC (do it yourself control) where all you had to do was find the checkpoint (IN-N-OUT C store in Mannford) and multiply your stage mileage by a 50 mph factor (1.200 minutes per mile) and write the time on your score card.  The last stage included a lap around the old Warbonnet race course.

We don't have any more rallys scheduled for this year since too few seem interested in participating.  Let me know if there is interest and we will see if we can do another one.

See you on the rally road.

Sounded fun and Cool, but I'm betting some of the attendance was damped by MiDiv Event #2 in Salina this weekend. Jeanie and I would have probably tried to make this, if we hadn't been doin' that.
