I'm needing to get a couple of parts painted on my NSX (front bumper and hood) and my wheels repowdered.  Anyone have a recommendation on who to use or stay away from based on experience?

Thanks in advance!

These guys did a bike frame for me years ago.  Their price was reasonable, turnaround was quick, and they did a good job.  Bike still looks good after many years of use.

BA powdercoating can DIAF! I had some calipers done by them years ago, and they are crooks. Stay away. I use Indian Coatings in Bartlesville, but (forget the name - dude with right hand drive civic) just had a thread with a bunch of info, pictures, etc about who he used. He really liked them, and the results looked good.

Meh...not looking to travel to Bartlesville to get the powdercoating done.  Granted, any given vendor won't be able to please everyone but there has to be someone locally that does a fairly good job.

No experience with powder coating but have heard several good things about BA Powdercoating (and at least one bad one!).
Also heard good things about Indian Coatings (Dennis Littleaxe) in B'ville but that's a little ways away if you have no reason to go that far.
Talk to MikeG though, he's had a bunch done on the RHD Civic.

The Honda (maybe Acura too) dealer use MasterCraft and they did some work on our last 2 Hondas.  They did a great job but it was either warranty or insurance so I'm not sure about pricing.

BA Powdercoating did my front subframe a few months back and did a good job, cheap, quick turn around.

They also do a ton of military spec powdercoat stuff as well.

How long ago was this?  They did a horrible job on three of my friends' cars (all yellow S2000s), but that was three or four years ago.  Hopefully they've cleaned up their act by now.  Last I heard, (Don Carlton) Honda stopped sending their customers to MasterCrap due to the lack of quality in their work.

Shawn, I had Danny Myers paint a rear spoiler for my S about a year ago.  Instead of taking the whole car over there and risking overspray, I let them borrow one of my of OEM side mirrors to match.  They did a great job matching the color and even the metallic flake, although that might not be an issue since your paint is probabry a flat color.

No personal experiences with Karoll Martin, but I have never heard about any bad experiences there.  IIRC, that's where Kyong had his NSX repaired.

I 2nd Abitl.  They did my BBS wheels and came out looking great.  Aside from a few curb rash spots (my own fault) they have held up better than any paint would.

For paint you can't go wrong with Huber Restorations...

I would do your wheels but I doubt they'll fit in my oven.   I screwed up Grinch's and my own wheels but have since learned my lesson...haven't had any problems since.
