I might need to revisit this and see if I can make it work.
I could sure benefit from some "technique" to my driving style.

Indeed. Makes slaloms easier and you can switch from brakes to throttle a lot quicker.

I use the LFB method part-time. It really depends on many factors, but mostly on how co-ordinated my feet are on any given day. Having MS means that some days, they just don't wanna work well together. Particularly after being on my feet too long, or during warmer weather.
The last event, my left didn't wanna respond when it was time to woah at the tight turn on the far end. Todd C can prolly explain just how late I was on the brakes there. After that, the left was only asked to operate the clutch. I can honestly say, that was the fastest mistake I made that day...... Somehow managing to not take out any cones or DNF was a surprise, though. Getting on the brakes a full cone later than normal doesn't usually turn out quite that well, even though I did lose at least as much time as a cone would've cost.
When the LFB works for me, it works great. When it's not working, I ditch it. Just one more manner in which I have to adapt to how things are going at the time. Thankfully, my left leg is the one that is most affected. The right just gets sore, while the left gets lazy.

One thing also to consider is that left foot braking is even more difficult if you are not properly restrained in the car. A Corvette with only a factory seat belt comes to mind. In that scenario your left leg is used to brace your body in the seat so that you can drive the car and moving it from the Dead Pedal is not an option.

There's that side of it as well. Arms work better if they're only being asked to turn the wheel, not hold your backside in the seat at the same time.
Even the lap belt portion of a racing harness is a very worthwhile investment.

That is one of my biggest problems, I'm pushing so hard on the dead pedal most of the time I don't even think to lift it off until I need to shift. Even though Chad is about the same height as me, I noticed he was putting the seat much closer to the wheel, almost uncomfortably so, and you can see in Andy's pictures he looks more over the wheel than I do.

I noticed that as well. For being 6'-0", I seem to drive much closer to the wheel than others including Brock, Sean and maybe even Allen (and I have relatively long arms too).
Jeff Vogel may be the only exception.

A lot of pro racing drivers sit really close to the steering wheel. That goes all the way from dirt circles to major road course racers. From what I understand it provides more leverage. But also they are probably comfy driving that way.
So does this make Chad a pro? .... maybe.

I do it. I also heel toe sometimes instead, but for keeping it in the same gear on a tight corner I use it to help rotate the car.

I'd like to be more "on the wheel" as they say. In my car, if I get that close to the wheel, my head is wedged against the windshield, and my knees are wedged under the wheel.
Heck, I have to recline the seat a hair than I really like, just to keep my head from hitting the sunroof/headliner. It's even worse with a helmet on......
