Standin Mile Racing

Anyone tried it? Anyone interested? I have done the mile event in conjunction with the Sandhills Open Road Race, but I want to make it down to Goliad, TX for one of their events. Flat out for 5280, unlimited runs all weekend, and some AWESOME machinary shows up. An OK to TX caravan might be fun.

LOL,
Not me, my daily driver is a Mini Cooper S and there is no way in hell my wife is going to allow HER Z06 to participate in this sort of thing. It's not even allowed to go to HST events at Hallett! Cone dodging is how we have fun.
The Texas mile looks like a very cool event. I hope you make it down and have a great time. Of course we will need to see lots of pictures and results.

Same weekend as the Evo school in Neosho, Mo. Have fun for us! I used to drive a '74 'cuda w/ 360 bore 60 over 273 gears. Flat out OVER 150mph. Sold it when I deployed on a carrier back in the day. RX-7's top out too early to be fun on that long of a track.

I have only done 1/2 mile races, at the Sandhills ORR in Neb. Based on those speeds, I should have no problem seeing 180 at the Texas mile. I just hope to have the car ready by March. Likely, I will have to wait until the Sandhills, and with it being on a two-lane no shoulder road, I will again run the 1/2 mile. Oct Texas mile, I will try to go then for sure.
