Looks like the colts went, home that is....... emptyhanded.
I'm certainly not a football fan, but the saints did impress me with their "play to win" attitude.
By "not a football fan", I mean I've 3/4 of a game all year. This one. I was bored, and it was raining...........

Saints first downs and shots of Manning pouting were part of our drinking game, so the second half went way better than the first. This was the first Super Bowl appearance and win for New Orleans. They played for it, and got it. Good for them.
The CBS production quality was forgettable, the too-safe Who medley was crotchety, and the ads were lame. I guess unattractive people in their underwear, mainly dudes, are the new ad funny. Korean cars and male emancipation themes (Vegas bromance trips, excuses to buy Charger, etc.) show how much of a pussified affair national sports have become post-WardobeMalfunctionGate.
The Saints sparked it up with an on-side kick, 32/39 completions, and a pick-six. I couldn't tell you hardly any of the Saints' names, but I'm glad someone brought some pop.

I kinda-sorta watched it (not really), but thought "Hey - The WHO! - but aren't they all
DEAD
?" The answer to that isn't "42" but rather "Yes"..........
It's pathetic that the funniest/coolest ad was "Tim" that "really, REALLY Loves Doritos" (and the sound the Charger made - the rest of that ad was Lame-O).
Edit:
OH - and the Tebow ad(s) were just
TOTALLY
Offensive............

I didn't care for many of the commercials. The kid slapping his mom's date and laying down the law was probably the best of the night.
I actually figured I'd watch for the commercials, and endure the game/halftime show, then discovered it was gonna be the who. I, too, thought they were mostly dead.
The commercials pretty much turned out to be a waste of the advertisers money, and the halftime show sounded like a retirement home covering CSI theme songs........
But the saints grabbed my attention with the 4th and goal attempt, and they darn sure woke up most of the nation after that lackluster 1/2 time with the onside kick. They deserved the win.
As for the tebow (sp?) ad, well I didn't see it/them. If I had, I have a mute button, and know how to use it.........

You probably DID see it - just didn't notice it, because it was tame and really not in the slightest-bit offensive. To anyone. I was just being sarcastic about the fact that some Leftie-groups got all bent out of shape about it, and the "offensiveness" of it, because the group that sponsored it is Pro Life.

I'm personally an E trade ad fan. I think the baby's monotone sarcasm is pretty dang funny. The newer ads have been a let down from the originals but the video chat with the girl baby one made me laugh. Unfortunately that was the only one that made me laugh.

Actually, no I didn't see it. Either it aired before I tuned in (score was 3-0) or during one of the few times I left the room just before they went to a break. Personally, I'm neither "pro-life" nor "pro-choice". I just wish the highly funded political action groups would shut the hell up and quit bombing clinics and/or killing doctors.
I actually missed the airing of the kid laying down the law, but it appeared online a bit later, plus it was shown (in part) during one of the late local newcasts a few days early.
The e-trade babies are getting a bit redundant, but the video chat one was ok.
The spineless guy ad, the guy who buckled under on everything but the charger (sad choice), and the abundance of pantless guys, pretty much killed the entire series of highly hyped ads. Though, I do have to admit, that one guy REALLY wanted a coke.......... Danger was no object to him. Not much of a coke fan, but I give them credit for not having the guy in "Tighty whities".......

LOL, that's my usual reaction the day after......
As stated before, I was bored, it was raining, and I've already watched all the newest top gear episodes at least twice.
