ok, so the new toy will be here soon, need to put some new shoes under it.  It has daisy wheels with 185 all seasons..........uh no.

So Miata owners here is what I am looking at, question is, will it fit and will I have issues?  Tire Rack says they are both ok......

Choice 1 is this:
TRMotorsports C3M 15x9 (offset not listed) 15#, will let me run 225/45R15's no problem, with no strech.  And cheater 275, if I could get the roll out.

#2
TRM C1 15x7.5, 13#,+42 or +30 not sure which is better.

Also doing the street wheel search, but that is more bling!  Roll Eyes

15x9  Grin
275's on them no problem. Todd did it with the same size wheel with some 275's I was getting rid of.

They apparently all need some amount of rework, but Brad's kid had the 15x7.5 TRM wheels on his Miata when he totaled it.

Miata total, waha?

Will the 15x9 work with 225 under the stock fender?  Tire Rack says yes.........

Figured it would be a good "for the future" in case I did get the 275 itch.  And then has to cut something.  The flying nun could come back.

Total? Shocked

Bobby, I have a 225/45-15 A6 mounted on a 15x8 +30mm ATS wheel if you want to test fit. Here's a guy in Nebraska running the same thing on his NA-gen Miata:

There's a guy in Rogers with a fender roller that rents it out if some coercion needs to be done.

15x8" ATS DTC are hard to find, but 949Racing and Good-Win-Racing sell 6UL wheels in very similar sizes.

What do you think of the 15x9?
I'll probably call tire rack to get the offset.

Too much?

No such thing as too much! However, from the sound of this description, much of any tire on a 15x9 will have inner and outer clearance issues on a NA.

All NA's have to roll AND pull the fenders for 15 x 9. Unless those TR's are new for the x9 it is a typo. The first/only x9 I know of is the 949 wheel.
15x8's are a wheel by wheel basis, but I know the 949 x8's fit with roll only on NB's, I think the NA's are car by car. Jim's ATS wheels are great option, but I think the offset isn't ideal (jim can comment). The TR's in x8's are very cost effective as well.
I current have my set of 15x9 wheels with a pair of 225 and a pair of 275 Hoosiers on them if you want to test fit.

read 949racing.com's description of wheels/fitment for good idea.

And for clarification on Pat's comments, I do NOT have those wheels. Again, I haven't heard of those existing in the x9 unless it's new for this year.

Sorry, I ment to say same size as in 15x9. I was going to go back and edit but got distracted by a call. I like the look of your wheels. They are starting to come out with Subaru fitments in that same 6UL.

yea, and the 6ULR is getting to be released. Not sure I'd buy another set, but it would be tempting.

did someone say 15x8 ATS?

i dont think the 15x9 at TR is a typo... there has been a lot of bitching over on clubroadster.net about the feeling that TR copied the 949 specs and style for the x9 wheel. i think they were new this year, and have only been out for a little while.

i also noticed that 949 had taking all the wheel/tire fitment info down, and says to call him. i have it saved somewhere if you want to see it.

the ATS on my car seems pretty aggressive, maybe too much. they havent rubbed so far, but i only used a 205/50 Kumho XS.

that and the rear still sits too high for my liking.

^ didn't know that. He pretty much destroyed the market for lightweight, strong, cheap x8 and especially the x9 market. Everyone is playing catch up. Der if you want to test fit them, or check them out, let me know.
