I need to find someone that can design and fabricate a roof rack for my Subaru.  I don't need ideas as much as I need someone that can help refine an idea and actually fabricate.
Problems:
* Subaru doesn't offer a hitch for the STi in the States.  I can adapt a Forester hitch but have to drill some holes and cut the diffuser. Even if I did this, it doesn't handle all of my needs.
* Subaru's factory rails go from side to side as do the other systems offered. I'd prefer rails that run the length of the car (front to back) then use my own cross rails for the flexibility.
I've got some ideas but need to find someone that can help refine the ideas and actually fabricate the parts.
I'd like to utilize the factory mounting points.

If anyone can help or knows someone that can please let me know.

Thanks,
Chad

Chad, I've got some Thule roof racks I can donate to your project.  Picked them up years ago from a friend to put on our Senta.  My guess is that you'll have to fab up some brackets.  But whatever I have left of the roof racks and brackets is yours.

Just let me know...

Thanks Shawn.  Everything seems to be model specific and everything I've seen from Thule and Yakima only yield fixed point cross bars.  I've got some Yakima cross bars I'd like to use but need to get the "front to back" figured out.  Maybe I'll swing by this weekend to see what you've got and  go from there.

No fabricators or friends of fabricators here willing to help a brother out?
I would think this is a relatively simple project for a person with the right skill and equipment.
But what do I know, I just need a way to haul some crap with THIS car.

Subaru only gets Hella or PIAA lights.  Grin
Hella 500's at Walmart.

P.S. Sorry about the edit, hit the wrong butt.

I thought that living in Bixby required KCs?  Glad to know that's not the case.

Thanks.  I hadn't researched this there yet.  I was joking about the light bars.  I'm looking for something to use my existing crossbars on that can be adjusted carry anything from wheels/tires, bikes, plywood, etc.  Fixed position crossbars that are offered through Subaru or Thule/Yakima don't allow the flexibility.
