You are not going to get cheaper track time at Hallett this year.
Three 20 minute sessions each day.
$75 per day, or $125 for both days. Yes, that's correct, $125 total for both days.

Questions?
Are there a limited number of openings available?
Is there a deadline for registration?

At this time, no limit on entries.

I just looked at the registration form, and there isn't.
It would help the chief instructor to register earlier than later, as that will give him time to round up a sufficient number of instructors for the PDX drivers.

Registered for AVRG PDX. See ya then.
-- Scratch that... A spot at the MidDiv autocross in Topeka opened up for me for that weekend, so I have to cancel my participation at the AVRG PDX. Hopefully next time...

What do you have to wear, and what rating does the helmet have to be? I assume no harnesses are required.

The entry form has good info (see first post). Snell helmet M95 or better, "All participants must wear long pants, closed footwear with rubber soles, and shirts with sleeves while on course", and a street legal car that will pass tech.
Please note that convertibles must have either a roll bar meeting Section 18 of the TTR or a factory hard top using the factory mounting hardware and mounting points. No exceptions to this rule allowed.

Turnout was rather low, likely due to the heat. I was there, as was a freind of mine. Even though we were given the chance for more than 3 sessions, we opted to stop after the 3rd. Just too dern hot.
As a side note, I got rear-ended leaving the track. Thankfully, it was a very light hit, and no damage to either car. The other guy had changed brake pads, and forgot to pump the pedal before moving the car..... The heat will get to ya, no matter who you are.
They also backed off on the long sleeve requirement.

ya wussies...
I drove 4 sessions and rode 3 on Saturday the 5th and 4 sessions on Sunday the 6th at MSR in Ft Worth. Got sick on Saturday though. I learned that in order to be hydrated on Saturday, you must start chugging H20 on Friday as well as the rest of the time.
But yea, it was fricken hot. I was really tempted to buy a dozen eggs and check different things around the pits to see if they were hot enough to fry an egg. I'm pretty sure that the black diamond plating on some of the trailers could do it.
Glad you guys had fun at Hallett. I'll probably make it to hallett once more this year.

MSR in Ft Worth is a fun track, I was there in May.
Hallett has sprayed a sealer on the entire track and grid surface. That fresh black surface was more than hot enough to fry an egg. I bet ya coulda grilled a steak on it.
Might have just been my imagination, but it seemed to have a little less grip than before, especially since those slick tar patches are much harder to see..........
Yeah, I am a bit of wuss when it comes to heat. I have a valid excuse, though. I was diagnosed with MS in '99..........
